May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. With 3.5 million cases in over two million people diagnosed annually, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. Fortunately, skin cancer is also one of the most preventable forms of cancer. Dermatology Consultants is helping spread the message about Skin Cancer Awareness Month.

• The practice is donating 5% of profits from all retail product sales to the Melanoma Research Foundation
• Free skin cancer screenings will be offered at our Miles for Melanoma 5k on August 10th at Como Park in St. Paul.

As a way to raise awareness of melanoma and other types of skin cancer, and to encourage early detection through self-exams, the American Academy of Dermatology designates the first Monday in May as Melanoma Monday®. On May 6th, wear orange to raise awareness for Melanoma Monday®!
