Over the past several weeks our staff and doctors at Dermatology Consultants have continued to provide the highest quality dermatologic care for our patients. As you know, some restrictions have now been lifted as part of our state government’s “Stay Safe” Minnesota plan.
As our communities begin the re-opening process it is vital that we continue to follow strict safety measures based on healthcare best practices and CDC guidelines for infection prevention. As DermatologyConsultants expands our patient service offerings we are committed to our top priority – keeping our patients, employees and physicians safe and healthy. Here are a few of the ways we doing just that:
- We continue to encourage patients to schedule a virtual visit for skin conditions and concerns that do not require an in-person skin exam and/or lab tests.
- Our clinics follow strict guidelines regarding the use of PPE, including that all employees and doctors wear masks, gloves and eye protection. All patients and visitors are required to wear cloth face covering or mask when visiting the clinics.
- We screen each patient for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 prior to their appointment and upon arrival at the clinic. Those people with symptoms are asked to remain home.
- Our staff and doctors check their own temperatures daily prior to arriving to work. Anyone displaying signs or symptoms of COVID-19 is required to stay home.
Our physicians and staff have been working diligently to provide patient care that is safe, effective and supports the health of our communities. We’ve implemented policies and procedures that support what has always been our mission:
To provide our patients with exceptional skin care in a safe and welcoming environment.
While we need to protect everyone against the potential risk of infection, it’s important not to fall behind where our overall health is concerned. If you are due for a full body skin exam, or you have a worrisome mole, make an appointment to see us soon at one our four East Metro locations.
If you have any questions regarding our safety policies, or any other comments surrounding our practice, please do not hesitate to contact us via email or call us at 651-209-1600. We’ve missed seeing many of you. When it comes to your skin, don’t be a stranger!
Sincerely,
